New home construction of Evanston’s first certified Passive House (https://www.phius.org) meeting the highest international standard for energy efficiency. Construction utilized cutting-edge, high-performance building standards with respect to thermal control, mechanical ventilation, insulation, and sustainability. The home is powered entirely by solar, has no gas line connection, and is both net zero and low carbon.
